Operating Systems

You can install ZipCloud on any almost any Windows operating system. Whether you have Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7, ZipCloud has you covered. If you’re running with Mac OSX 10.5+, you’re good to go. The backup service is accessible by the web. That means that you can access it with your iPhone, iPad, Blackberry or Android as well. If you have a wireless connection, you have access to your data.

Backup

When you use ZipCloud, you can backup and sync any files that you choose. This is perfect for people who utilize multiple devices for school, work or personal communications. Additionally, ZipCloud allows you to select which folders and files you wish to sync. This means that you aren’t backing up files that you don’t need to keep. A favorite feature among reviewers is “Drag & Drop.” Simply open your account and save files by dragging and dropping them.

Mobile and Remote Access

ZipCloud can be accessed with your computer, Blackberry, Android, iPhone, or iPad from anywhere you have an established Internet connection.

Pricing

ZipCloud offers three separate packages: Home ($4.95/month), Premium ($5.95/month), and Unlimited ($6.95/month).

Sharing

The sharing capabilities of this service are outstanding. You can share files with family and friends via email, Facebook or Twitter. Not only can you share files, but you can collaborate between multiple users. This is handy if you are working on a school or work project and need input from others in your group.

Security

Security is amazing with ZipCloud. All files are backed up with the same high level of encryption used by the military and financial institutions.

Support

The online support center for ZipCloud features email support. You can also access video tutorials, a FAQ, your billing info, update links, and other features that may be of assistance. Email responses aren’t the fastest in the industry, but you can realistically expect to hear back from a support tech in less than two hours.

Payment Providers

You can pay for your subscription to ZipCloud with PayPal, MasterCard, American Express, and Visa.

Conclusion

If you aren’t using a backup solution for your files and documents, you’re going to regret it. It might not be tomorrow; it might not even be in the next few months, but you will regret it eventually. Backing up your system is the only way to ensure that your files are safe and secure, no matter how poorly your computer behaves.
